Greetings to everyone here! You can call me Sheddah; that's what my grandkids (and most of my kids too) call me. I am new to the forum, although I have already posted a few times requesting advise. I finally got to take a few pictures(new motherhood has so many demands) so that I can introduce my baby quaker girl Sama' (which means sky in Arabic). She is 4 months now, and I have had her since she was 3 months old. She is the sweetest bird! I am amazed every day by her active interaction, antics and wonderful disposition. About 2 weeks after she came home she began to make kissy noises. It took me by surprise the first time she did it. I was making the sound and she was trying to imitate me. Then all of a sudden she got it! I made a big fuss about it (and still do) and she repeated it again. I am now trying to train her to do it when I say "Gimme a kiss" by following the command with a kissy sound. Sometimes she will take the cue and sometimes not, but it is so much fun!
Well I think I will have a lot of fun here and learn a lot from all of you experienced "parronts." Looking forward to a long and fruitful stay. Thanks to all who contributed to my posts!
