my amazon nibbles, in the year that i have had him. has not been molting more than maybe a few big feathers and some of his small once or twice a year. milo on the other hand will molt twice a year with what seems like all his feathers. do amazons molt diffrent? nibbles is about four or five years old.

oh, and heres a real good one, milo (qp) likes dill pickles. should i give them to him? (salt)

An occasional bite or two of pickle isn't going to hurt him, but I wouldn't give him too much very often...just because of the salt. But reg cucumbers soaked in vinegar water might appease him... Or just straight cucumber.

As far as the molting goes. My Amazon usually has one heavier molt and then he'll lose a few here and there.... Does his plumage seem to be of good color and texture...good shine to his feathers? How often do you bathe him? What species of Amazon is he?

He is blue front and he will bath himself once a week and on weekends when i vachum. lol yes his color is very good and his feather are a good texture. thank you so much i will see if milo likes just plain cucumbers.
