Yoshi's Family
Well in the year we've had Yoshi, new members have been added to our flock! My oh my how MBS kicks in with the whole family. We now have Yoshi the Quaker, Beeker the Lorikeet, Sunny the Lineolated Parakeet, Odie the Lovebird, Buddy and Freddie the Budgies! tongue.gif

We also rescued an Alexandrine Ringneck from a co-workers family member. He has been plucking for 3 years, and was never properly taken care of. We're giving him a better chance biggrin.gif If anyone wants to see pictures of him I'll put it in another thread that warns there is a plucked bird inside tongue.gif

Here's a link to Beeker laughing and talking in his so-hard-to-understand voice. He says Merry Christmas in there somewhere tongue.gif

And pics of the rest of the family!

Your flock is beautiful but you should have added pictures of your little plucker in there. We have all seen it before. They are still beautiful with or without feathers.

ty smile.gif He is well taken care of here, lots of talking, fresh fruit and vegetables every day, and the chance for him to get out of his cage!

His previous owners had him in a make-shift cage. It was a dome, rounded cage kind of like a small bird cage but larger, with vertical bars all around, and no door or proper bottom (They used a metal dish from a parrot stand's catcher, if you know what I'm talking about)... As you can imagine, they didn't get around to cleaning his cage or even taking care of him much. It was sad when he told me that he screams for his food and water! None of my birds have ever had to scream for food/water sad.gif

So he's very cage bound, although he will come out now after lureing him with a treats for awhile. But, being that cage bound comes with a nuroticism to him. So unfortunately he is very non handleable at the moment, and will take lots of work to re-tame. I don't even know how old he is, just that he has been plucking for over the 3 years the previous owners had him.

He's quite the handful!
