It's been a while since I've posted here as I've been busy with life and birds and all the fun that goes along with it. I posted a while back that I was getting just one more bird(I had 11 then) and this will be a baby male plumheaded parakeet. Also I did end up adopting another cockatiel, but he really needed a home. He was living in a home with 2 grays and a too and ended up getting his beak bitten. After my telling her no I had no room, I changed my mind after that and drove the 5 hour round trip to bring him home with me. He was and is a darling and I dont regret it. He gets along fine here and his beak is completely healed. He's a talker and says "pretty bird" Pretty good for a cockatiel. Sooo, the one more bird turned into 2 more birds.
I only have two names at the moment and am still looking. One of my friends does not like either of these names
The plumhead will be green with a purple head. Plumheads come from Asia. My thoughts were origin and color so I've got two ideas and will not be insulted if you hate them, but would love your opinions

Phoenix (meaning of course is purple mysterious bird)
Ceylon (The old name for Sri Lanka and would be pronounced Si-lon)
Any thoughts or ideas? I've posted a picture of Zoey my female plumhead. She's about 65 grams

Oh!! Zoey is gorgeous!!!!

As for the names, I truly love them both!! I'm more inclined to go with Ceylon, simply because it is very unique smile.gif

I would love to see more pictures of your flock. Sounds like you've got some wonderful birds!

And congrats on your new Tiel and upcoming new Plumhead!

Ceylon is a really great name I think!

I really like names you don't hear everyday!

We're considering getting a sun conure, he's 3, but he was a rescue, so he doesn't have a nema yet.

We're thinking maybe Picasso?

oooh, thank all of you sooo much. It's nice to know someone likes my two choices so far. Actually others have too, but I like you get you guys opinions as I know you'll be honest.

I want the name to fit him so wonder if Ceylon is too feminine sounding? I could pronounce it a little diffrent too like maybe saylon.

Thanks for your compliments on Zoey. She, the females have the grey heads and the males are so beautiful with their purple heads. Zoey is quite the velcro bird so I wonder how her new sibling will be with me.

Ceylon doesn't sound to feminine to me. It sounds perfect.
