Hi everyone

Today just before I went to work, I checked all the birds' water (as I normally do), just to make sure it was all still clean.

When I got to Shrek's water it looked blue. I thought it was the light or a shadow, but no. Then I thought there was a blue toy at the bottom, but no. The water was clear, but blue. Nothing in it, no food particles, no poop, nothing - just clear, blue water.

I still don't know, how it got to be blue... Any suggestions?

probably a piece of food got into it that your little one dipped? who knows. maybe you have magic water it changes with the mood..lol..

When I was at a store on my great bird search, one of the employees said they don't get their bird the colored shredder stuff b/c it gets it wet (but doesn't leave it in the water), and that dyes the water w/ever color the shredder was.

It was probably a piece of food he dipped or a colored toy that he dipped. No worries...

I have left little dishes of seed in my parakeets cage before and some of the seeds you buy in the petstores have flavored coatings on the outside so maybe one of those fell in. I have had it happen to their water before just a thought.
