Mine doesn't talk that well as Kiwi. She sounds like she is belching the words up.

Wow, I'm kinda surprised!! Now I knew Suns weren't the best of talkers, but I thought they would be clearer than that. Kiwi sounds quite similar to my Green Cheek and Maroon Bellied.

Carrie what are green cheeks like? they are similar to a sun? Not loud tho right? Are they playful? I just read recently that jendays arent as loud as suns..I wonder if thats true?!
Oh man, I can't tolerate Jendays. They are loud, loud, loud!!! I would say just as loud as Suns. Same with the Nandays.
Green Cheeks, like most Conures, are very energetic and very playful. Chi Chi is constantly hanging off of some part of her cage. Or laying on the bottom on her back (she scared me to pieces the first time I saw her do that!).
She can say about 5 or six words...Hi baby, Night Night, Good Bird, I love you (okay, that's more like 4 phrases and 7 or 8 words...lol). She is really clear, but quiet.
She has a high pitched squawk (not as loud as the Aratinga Conures), but uses it rarely. And they are smaller then the Aratingas too. She weighs in at about 47 grams (give or take).

I don't see any differences in noise levels of Jendays and Suns. They sound alike to me.
Green Cheeks are quieter birds and are members of the Pyrhurra conure group. The are a little smaller than the Aratingas (the group that has Suns, Jendays, and such).

awww ok thanks alot so i wont ever get a jenday now lol b/c it will be as loud as my sun! Next if any fid will be a Caique! Thanks Carrie and Jenn
I have a Sun, a Jenday, AND a Nanday (and a large bottle of Advil!) By far the worst is the Nanday, Oscar. Most of the time he will sound like the other two because he's lived with Snuggle the Jenday for so long and likes to imitate her, but when he wants to scream in his Nanday way, it's migraine city!
My advice: If you want one of these birds, just get ONE. They are loveable and adorable, but the flock calling drives us up the wall.
