I'm very sorry to read about your baby, was he sick at all the last few days? What was his eating and Poos like? Did you burn candles/insense or anything in the house? these are just a few things I can think of because if you are getting another one, we need to try to help you find out what went wrong so it does not happen again. Once again I am very sorry for your loss.

Oh my, I'm terribly sorry to hear about your loss. My heart goes out to you...
If you can you need to have a necropsy done on the bird to see what caused him to die. As LuvMyHarley stated you need to know before you bring another baby on the the place. Make sure that you scrub everything the bird came in contact with, toys, perches, cage etc,
Again, I'm so sorry about your loss. Hugs to you

Oh no!!! I am so very, very sorry.
I totally agree on the necropsy. You really need to do this, because if the bird had something wrong with it genetically, or was carrying a disease, then you certainly do not want to purchase another one from the same breeder.

Oh Carole, thats devastating. I know how hard it is to lose a feathered friend. I know little Riley will be missed. I do hope you go the extra mile and try and find the cause, it will truly help you to understand what went wrong.
Be at peace knowing Riley will be waiting for you over the Rainbow Bridge.
Peace to you both.

Carole, This poem helped me out when I was hurting over the loss of My Dear Sweet Emmy. I hope you find peace in it.
Lend Me A Bird
"I will lend to you for a while, a bird", God said. For you to love him while
he lives and to mourn for him when he is dead.
Maybe for twelve or fourteen years, or maybe for two or three. But will you,
till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He'll bring his charms to gladden you and should his stay be brief,
You'll always have his memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise that he will stay, since all from earth return,
But there are lessons taught below I want this bird to learn.
I've looked the whole world over in search of teachers true.
And from the folks that crowd life's land, I have chosen you.
Now will you give him all your love; nor think the labor vain;
Nor hate me when I come to take my lovely bird again?
I fancied that I heard them say, "Dear Lord, thy will be done,
for all the joys this bird will bring, the risk of grief we'll run."
Will you shelter him with tenderness?
Will you love him while you may?
And for the happiness you'll know forever grateful stay?
But should I call him back much sooner than you've planned;
Please brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand.
If, by your love, you've managed, my wishes to achieve,
In memory of him you've loved; be thankful; do not grieve.
Cherish every moment of your feathered charge.
He filled your home with songs of joy the time he was alive.
Let not his passing take from you those memories to enjoy.
"I will lend to you, a Bird", God said, and teach you all you have to do.
And when I call him back to heaven, you will know he loved you too.

Please do find out how your baby died. I think the breeder should not charge you 50%. How long was he at home? At only 3 months old shouldn't have beed more than a week or so. Best wishes, Jan
