LOL OK so today was Rissa's remicade infusion day at the hospital so we were out of the home by 830am and back around 4ish. I always immediately check all animals to make sure all is well. I walk into the room, see Peanut (qp), see Sally (U2), but see no Mango and Pepper, the lovies. I'm hearing them though. Look around the room and find the thingie that holds their door shut on the floor So still looking around and not panicking since I heard at least one of them chirp when I walked in the door. Well after looking for a while and following the chirps I look in Sally's cage and there they are, lil brats were sitting in Sally's coconut toy in HER cage. LOL it could have been very ugly but I think Sally was freaked out as she was just sitting on the bottom of her cage looking at me like "what do you want me to do" So Sally is a good girl and the lovies get a new lock on their cage

Oh and just thought I'd add that the lovies used to have a coconut toy in their cage but I had to take it out b/c they just keep laying eggs in it, I guess they miss it

That is so cute. Sounds to me like you might want to get them a Coco hut. They need something to keep them home. LMBO Glad it had a happy ending as we all know this could have turned out very different.

Whew! I think if I came home to find Tinker in Tiko's cage I would lose it completely.

Yeah, I think a lock would be a good idea. Lucky lovies, and Sally should get a treat or seven.

thank goodness Sally is a big chicken! those 2 lovies were probably looking at Sally like SHE was in the wrong cage!

Lucky birds! I miss having lovebirds sometimes..but then I remember how often mine escaped and had close calls in my bird room. The whole lovebird extravaganza taught two of my birds how to say, "Jon!!! There's a bird loose!" and "GET ME A TOWEL!!"
