That's AMAZING!!
My first bird was a keet. His name was Friar Tuck (we called him Tucky) and he was a great talker. When my Mom would come home from work or errands, he's start up as soon as he heard the key in the lock... "Where's Mom?" "Well, there she is!" "Got a kiss for the good boy?"
She kept him after I moved out and they shared many years together. She was very upset when he passed, but I never realized how much he meant to her until we were cleaning out her apartment after she died and found a carefully wrapped packet in her jewelry box. She had saved all his molted tail feathers
They were buried with her as her 'angel' wings

I have a pair of budgies. They are very chatty however not at all tame.
Got Pepper first when a month later he was still not making any sounds and still sitting on the same perch I decided not to try and tame him anymore and got River. Now they chat all the time and play. They are great to watch.
River I believe is also a male but hard to tell with the recessive pieds. Well just have to wait and see.
Give them time they well be chatting up a storm.
