Would this be big enough for Oatmeal in one and Raja in the other? I'm just trying to reduce cage space in my house. But I still want my babies comfy.

I think so!! Those look like wonderful cages!!! I sooooooo want to get some stackable cages for my tiels and linnies.

Kathy, I have that same exact cage for my finches...or part of my finches anyway and there are 18-20 finches in that cage...So yes that's plenty of room for a quaker or the Sun conure. The only thing I don't like about the cage itself is the fact that there are no feed dish or water dish holders... It comes with to plastic trough feeders that just hook over the horizontal wires. With finches its not a big deal cuz they can't flip the feeders around, but a quaker and a sun could.

The only other draw back is that there aren't a lot of horizontal wires for easier climbing...but with the bigger area you can put lots of perches to ease that problem.

The minimum size is 18 by 18 that is like a third of that plus minimum. That is PLENTY big.

My thing against stackables is .. Who gets the top bunk and who gets stuck with the lower?. The lower one seems like (depending on where it is of course)that the bird that is in it is gonna see alot of your bottom half or not be able to see you through a couch or over a dining set. Plus getting down that low to clean way to the back. Just thoughts.

I agree i dont think the parrot on the bottom will be as happy and he wont be able to see faces walking by parrots love to be on top You could put the cage son a table or booster.

I have thought about the bottom cage thing also. I'm still looking right now. Oatmeal would be in the bottom he doesn't spend alot of time in a cage anyway. Raja likes being in his cage more so he would have top. (also Raja was here first)

I noticed the food bowl thing too. I have the stainless steele bowls that have the ring for them to sit in. So that wouldn't be a problem.
Guess I'll have to think on it more.

In the proper room arrangment it would be great. Just make sure the lower cage has proper lighting !! That is the only think I dislike about stackable cages. The bottom cage always tends to be dark, and we all know how much birds need light.

these are pretty much like the cages we all chipped in and got Cheryl. I think if you are lacking space, these are perfect. Just my own opinion

I think you will know best..if the bird isnt in it much anyway then maybe he would think it was ok. and of course location is important and only you know where in your home that it can be put.

OOh i love this cages!
My breeder friend keeps two pairs of Quakers in each of those, so i think there will be plenty of room!
