I think it would be sooooo cool to like eventually get a few parakeets or something, or even to use as a really big play gym for Red. Why do they post stuff like this at the absolute worst time for me!

Uh Oh, I don't know why they do that....But I think if it was me, I'd go and borrow the money somehow , someway and get that beauty... tongue.gif Just a thought....

Does that include shipping also.....

While it is very, very gorgeous, I wouldn't buy it. Do you realize how hard that is going to be to clean??? biggrin.gif

I'd at least go see it and see what condition its really in, Depending on what brand it is...if its not a home made/custom built one it might be worth the effort, but if its a home made one as Carrie said, it would be a bear to clean and sanitize.

It's only like 45 minutes from my house, so I would pick it up. I'm seriously talking to hubby about sneaking some savings, but I'm also considering the other's comments about it being hard to clean... I'd probably have to see about that.

From what the poster wrote, it seems that the side panels completely open, which would give me pretty good access, but it would depend when I saw it, I guess.

I'm just hoping that it's not sold by time hubby comes home and I can con... errr... talk him into it! lol

the piccy looks great...if it is as good in person id try for it...and why are they getting rid of it?? no birds, or cleaning issues?

Birdlover_24
WOW! $50. its a very nice cage. I have to agree though with some of the others(Carrie), that it would be a B#$*H to clean. smile.gif oh well, happy conning your husband into it. biggrin.gif I hope you get it.
Quakermom
Red you have a PM waiting for you i know it wil make you veryyy happy!!

Okay, here's the update... I went ahead and emailed the lady selling the cage, in the hopes that hubby would totally cave in. However, she has someone that is coming to look at the cage on Thursday, but she will email me back if that falls through.

When hubby got home, he looked at it, and said that I could get it if she emails me back. I think he's totally a bird sucker now, lol. Soooooo... send good thoughts my way. I'm hoping that either... (a) the person doesn't shows up, or (cool.gif they decide not to take it for some reason.

And, Quakermom, you are an absolute, bonified, angel on earth. Just so you know.
Quakermom

I can honestly say that for the big birds it is much easier to clean than the small finches. Either way it was not that big of a deal to clean. With 30 finches in mine I only had to clean it every 3 weeks. I emptied the trays more often but that was it. The real problem with the finches was their bathing and when they poop. They poop in midflight all the time and it always ended up outside the cage. When they bath the would fly up to a perch and spray all their wat wings all over the front window.
I have wire sides and top on mine. The nice part about mine is that the front plexiglass comes out very easily for replacement if it gets scratched and you can add plexiglass sides if you want to. It is all very easily replacable.
Can you tell I would really like to sell this????
I also can honestly say I have over $1500 in material alone in this aviary.
Take a look!

This must be John. huh.gif ..Anyway, what a beautiful aviary....I've never seen one set up like that before....Heck, if I need one I would go for it....I'm sure some lucky person will have it very soon.....Good Luck.... smile.gif Thanks for showing it.....
