Not really a game per say, more of a feel good thread Idea is to say something nice about someone else on the forum. You can only say something about that person once (but other people can say something about the same person).

What I like most about Tara Rose is her big heart and the fact that she has an endless supply of love for birds that are in need.

I agree. Tara has a heart of gold. I'd also like to say I adore Connie because of her seemingly endless knowledge about birds but mostly because she is so generous in sharing that knowledge with us and is always ready to offer a helping hand to those in need.

Connie is a living, breathing plethera of Quaker knowledge. So is Carrie Anne, Dee and so many others. UZ and Jojo always good for some laughs, and Julie, Jan, Impy, Gail, Sandi, Steph, Brooke, Joni... all seem seem so sweet (wow, that "sweet" category could go on and on).
Most importantly, everyone contributes in their own way and all input is valuable. And if you need support, need to vent, or just need a mind vacation this is the place.
Oh yes... and the most enternaining...Twiz!

Michelle - Twiz's mom. Great person, kind and big heart and just totally wonderful. What she did for Cutty just was the most loving, careing thing I've ever witnessed.
Wish we could name more then one - there are so many other "truly" wonderful, helpful and plain ol nice on this forum. Personallyy - I love you all and think ALL of you are the best

What I like most about Sandi Kiwi's Mom is that I know for certain that she will always be there and reply to my threads, wether it is a question, to vent, or just sharing a photo!

Oh golly, to just pick one person at a time...holy cow, I think, well I know, that if it weren't for Andie Wan Kenobi, I wouldn't be on this great forum. Not just because of the Obvious reasons, but she also has a heart of gold when it comes to giving to and for animals. She's always willing to give of herself and share her mistakes as well as accomplishments. In hopes of helping other people not make the same mistakes she may have.

Her compassion for animals of any kind has lead her to gain a vast knowledge and the avenues to know where to find answers from the 'experts" in the industry. especially in the area's of nutrition

But there are so many on this forum that I can take my hat off to for so many different reasons. And to me that's what makes this forum so great! Its the vast array of knowledge and caring hearts that keeps this place up and running.... but one other person...I'm going to mention is
Shelly with out her we wouldn't have this forum to begin with!

I have been coming here since 1/2005.........I have met in person some wonderful people.........Connie, Andie's Mom, Andie, Arlene, Betty, Gina, Nyla and Tara Rose. It is hard to pick out any one person because I for sure would leave someone out and I wouldn't want to do that. Everybody here is so great. This forum definitely rocks and even tho I have had Kiwi for over 7 years I still learn something new everyday, but I do have to agree with Connie about thanking SHELLEY, because we all wouldn't have this great forum without her.

Kudos to Andi Wan AND Andi's Mom, Connie, for BOTH their expertise with animals and their willingness to share what they've learned with the rest of us.

Next person I wanna give a pat on the back to is UZ!! He brings laughter and humour to the forum, as well as some great advice and he puts things into perspective. He's not one to hide what he's thinking and he feels quite comfortable speaking his mind. Which, in my opinion, is a huge asset to this forum

Wow.... Great idea for a thread, but very difficult. I haven't been here very long, so I don't know many people off the top of my head, but everyone I've had contact with has been wonderful.

I can think of 4 people right off the top of my head who I am extremely thankful to have met here.

Carrie~Anne - you are amazingly caring and informative

Absster - you are so caring, and wonderfully supportive (esp. when I'm having a hard time with my daughter, lol)

Quakermom - you have such compassion for every animal, and you are one of the most generous people I've met

And last, but CERTAINLY not least...

IMPdujour - I so look forward to us chatting You are so knowledgeable, and have so much information to share. You are funny and witty, and I love hearing from you! (and you don't mind when I pick your brain constantly, lol)

What I like most about Carrie-Anne is her special ability to always say the right thing, either to cool a heated subject or to brighten a darkened spirit. This thread is a perfect example. Great idea, Carrie!

I always say that the things we have in common are what bind us and the things we dont have in common are what makes it interesting. It would be a dull world if we all lived our lives as carbon copies of one another afterall.

You all have inspired me, gave me hope in humanity, taught me many things that I would of never thought about before, and gave the insight to see as a collective you are wonderful and as individuals you are special too.

From the new kids on the block to the ones who have been here the longest each is an important branch of the tree. I thank you all and I am happy you are all here.

What I like most about Cheryl A. is all that she does as a volunteer, as well as her good heart, strength, courage, and perseverance, depite the challenges that she has faced (and continues to face) in her life.

I agree with Tammy. You can log on at just about any time with any question, comment, picture, whatever, and Sandi will be there to post a reply. It's nice, especially for newer members, who may not have made many connections yet to have Sandi there to post a reply.

Well Dave took the words out of my mouth on one member---Carrie-Anne. adding this to sum it up; she is always willing to help where needed and she can certainly get us back on track like you said Dave if a thread starts to heat up.

And also I especially look up to Ms. Dee.... Of all the hard work she puts into this forum and gracious me, she has another forum , and ?????? and it goes on and on and but will make herself available if needed....Going to school and working, keeping the fids on track (with the help of hubby) of course; Well you get the picture, she seems to be a cracker jack in her own way... What knowledge she does have....
And can I list another one, Ms. Connie of course...the knowledge she has of not just birds or pets; she has medical knowdlege, legal knowledge and ????? there again, most anything that needs attention...Oh well, I could list a whole lot more, but it would take up too much room and I'm not the best typist anymore...lol

Someone else I'd like to acknowledge is Buddy...QPDad....with out his wacky sense of humor where would we be...He's always there when I need a good chuckle...THanks Buddy!

Brook is her faith and bubbliness and that we have so much in common with our kiddo's!

IMPy is that she is ALWAYs supportive and will tell you like it is! She is very intelligent and will give knowledgeable advice whenever you need it!

What I like most about Shelly, Dee, Majj, Andie and Cheryl is their devotion to making this forum such a useful resource for bird lovers of all kinds. Managing such a large forum is not an easy task; lots of difficult decisions must be made on a daily basis. Theres some of the oldies that haven't been on much lately that I miss a lot, and if your out there lurking reading but not posting, just know that I for one do miss you guys and want you back here.

This forum has helped so many of us in so many ways, and not just with our birds; I know you guys won't really believe that I am a pretty shy person in real life, but I am. Its hard for me to go out and meet NEW people so because we all have a common interest, it helps me to be able to open up and share with all of you it a way that I probably wouldn't be able to do in person!

Each and everyone of you have helped me to grow as a human being. Even is some of you might irritate the heck out of me at times...it still helps me to grow.

Shorouq you have brought a lot of new things to my life and been the cause of me wanting to learn about different religions and have helped a lot of us realize that even though we don't think we have, there are still a lot of prejudice people in the world. And no one is always right or always wrong. So thank you for bringing that avenue into my life.

And Casey's Moms what can I say...what a breath of fresh air you are.

and A-Lynn wow girl, you've shown us all that not all young people are brats. You are one of the most articulate and wise beyond your years people I've come to know.

I just wish there was a way for All of us to get together and have a big group Hug... And I have to tell you guys, that for me to want to hug everyone on here show's me how much you've all been the cause of me "Growing" because with out you, I'd just be sitting here in my own little corner of the world, just existing! With you all here, I feel like you've given me a chance to give a part of myself that I don't think I would have ever been able to give otherwise...SO THANK YOU ALL! You are all special to me!

In the years (7 total) I have been with this forum- I have been lucky enough to be a helper to Shelly both unofficially and officially and she has always acknowledged the work and time I have put into helping her make this a safe and non hostile environment. I have met and made some wonderful friend on here, one I met face to face yesterday. You guys won't know her because she was a member of the original forum, and very very rarely posts here. (Lack of time to do so) She has taught me to trust people again.

Julie- Has a heart as big as Texas and helps when I am unable to be here for any reason. She is the one I call when I need to whine about the pain I am in.

Carrie Anne - A wealth of information

Dee - I don't know where my head is some days with out Dee so she is especially important to me as a person.

Andie and her mom both - Pick up the slack for me when I am not able to due to health reasons. They bring a cheery up beat aura to the atmosphere.



Dave - Is every so vigilent and always knows the right thing to say, and at the right time.



Majj- What can I say about Majj- She has put in more hours then any of us helping members with their signitures and avatars. She has been a God send! She also has brought games to the forum something we hadn't had before.
