when we lose a dear fid we all hurt so very much. But everyone here is family so we all console one another.

Friendship is a special gift, i am happy to have all of you on the forum as friends, better yet family.

Family to me are people who i share everything with from bad hair days to losing a special fid. because only we can understand one another and I am happy to have all of you to help me when im in need and i am alwayslooking to help others on the forum also. if one parront needs to rehome one of their fids, another parront( if close enough) on the forum will give it a home and keep the former paront updated, we all share such a special bond.

I know Tara and Michele have been going through a very tough time losing their fids, but its amazing how much a respose we all show to come and support them during their loss. Because we all know that one day its gonna happen to us and their gonna be there for us also.

Though we all have shared so much heartbreak with the loss of so many fids, though it scares me that one of mine could be next, at least i know that i have all of you to help me through it.

its been so long since i've lost a pet so when i read about others who have lost theirs, my heart hurts so much for them. this forum is such a great place with so many understanding individuals.

I find myself being drawn to this thread. I dont want to hear of any of my friends facing any pain because they have lost a loved one, but i have to be there for them. It helps me heal too.

Losing Nadian was so hard. While we have lost some rodents over the last few years, we haven't lost a bird and it just broke my heart. Made me realize how special and precious time with them really is.

No matter what differences the people on this forum may have, they always come together during times of heartache and pain. For that I will always be grateful.

I am way too emotional to post (no clue why, I'm just having a moment, I suppose), so....

I will agree - when I lost Tiki in May no one else understood the bond. Only bird people understand how you can get to attached to a moody pile of feathers and how your heart melts the first time they purr or start talking.

I am very glad to have found this place and have such a great group of people.

A lot of times I feel like I've gotten to know people's fids through their pictures and posting stories aobut them. I mourn their loss as well. Especially understanding how that loss can feel. It really is a comfort to know there are people out there that understand.
