Ok.. so the thing is built and I started putting vet wrap on there and Lucy is pulling it up!!! lol.. she loves to just rip though it. I dunno if I should let her figure out it's nothing special or what...
Anothing thing is.. toys. How did you guys who have PVC made playstands attach toys to it. I was thinking rubber bands but Lucy can definately eat through that. Anything I can do besides holes? Cause holes seem very perminant and I love my stand cause I can change it all I want as much as I want.

Pictures will come soon!!!

I use leather strips or even cable ties. My birds love leather strips...

I agree with Lene. I also used some baby toy thing I got from the dollar store. It has a bunch of links that will fit over the pvc, and they all split so you can put them on.
Mine have chewed a bit on the vet wrap too, but it is safe. That's the nice thing about it- you can easily change it when it is dirty or damaged.

If you don't want her to chew through the vet wrap or it looks like she will always be chewing it up, you may have to sand the PVC for grip instead of using the vet wrap. smile.gif For adding toys, I am going to drill a small hole on the underside of the PVC and screw in one of those screws with the circle on the end to hang the toys from. smile.gif If that's too permanent for you, you can attach toys with different types of material, like sisal, jute or leather. If you are using the baby links, just be careful and make sure that Lucy and Bentley can't get the inside of their beaks stuck between the opening of the links. wink.gif (Happened to a friend of mine, but luckily she was close enough to help him but it could have had devastating results, so now I am afraid to use them!)

Can't wait to see some pictures! smile.gif

lucy was testing it yesterday and this morning she's standing at the side of her cage eyeing it excitedly.... I gotta add some toys and ropes and stuff onto it but I'm REALLY excited at how it came out.
Pics will come either later tonight or tomorrow depending on when I can get to a store to get some extra stuff... lol I gotta harry potter book to read before the internet ruins it for me!!!

The best thing I have found for is the plastic cable ties

I attach the toy and pull it tight so that can't get their beaks around it and cut off the excess. So far no one has been able to chew through one of them, but I can remove with scissors when I want to change it. You can get a bag of them most anywhere for $1 - $2.
