I am just about in tears!

Where I work is having a festival on Thursday so is moving tables and setting up booths in preparation for the festival.

When I went outside for lunch today, I went to sit on a picnic table out on the lawn and heard baby birds chirping. I looked around, followed the sound and realized - They are IN the leg of the picnic table.

The grounds crew moved the picnic table from wherever it was stored so Mama won't be able to find her babies and they are crying for her! They are going to die in there sad.gif There is no way to get them out (besides no one here will care! - you've heard it all before - They're just birds!) But I am crying for those poor little babies! To hear them crying for their mama is heartbreaking!

I try to remind myself 'it is nature's way' but oh how it pains the heart.

Nothing can be done, but I just wanted to mourn for those little ones. Bird people will understand. sad.gif

How did they get in the leg of the table? can you get them out the same way?

poor birdies. I know how you feel it is hard to let nature take it's course.

AW! Can you break the table leg and get them out?? Can you try and convience the people there to help do something? You could raise them if you could just get to them!

They got in there cuz momma thought those hollow table legs would be nice place to keep her babies safe. Now that the grounds crew has moved the table, she can't find them. Metal picnic table, too big to pick up and shake them out! And the grounds crew/management here won't care. Just makes me soooo sad sad.gif By tomorrow they'll probably be gone sad.gif

Can't save them all! unsure.gif
