My little Heidi of 14 yrs is gone. Last night about 10 pm I was going to bed and I heard my Hubby talking to Heidi. I knew something was going on. Heidi was having an uncontrollable seizure. Heidi was the perfect dog, she never had seizures or any other problems. We rushed her to the Vet and 3 hrs later we had to say good bye. My heart is broken......I am going to miss my little Heidi.

Any idea what may have caused it? What kind of pup was she?

It's amazing how helpless you feel when they have a seizure. It seems I may be right there with you soon enough.

Awwww Sandi Im really sorry that you lost your Heidi. All the memories youve had with her and life together...but her richness she has left you! Sandi Love never dies...and one fine day I believe you will see her and and run and play with her again! The Lord said "eye has not seen nor ear has heard what God has in store for those that love Him" and I think out pets are included in that! Bless you my hugs are for you in your sad day....

Thank you everyone. I went to work today, it was tough.....my little Heidi was on my mind very much but I made it thru the day. I just keep thinking how quick it was.........but I also wouldn't of wanted her to suffer.

I am so sorry for your loss of Heidi. I too have lost a Heidi she was a brindle boxer the neighbors deer hunters shot her and my male JP. It is never easy,but it does get better.

Sandi, I am so sorry to hear about you losing Heidi.
I just went through the same thing with Bogart and the seizures, and I know how hard it can be to watch that happen to them.
Was there any signs at all before this?
Bogart started having them a couple days before...one here and there and not too bad, but then it became uncontrollable to the point that we had to let him go.
We think it would be such a hard decision to make, but when the time comes, it isn't so difficult because we know we can't let them suffer anymore.
We both had to do what we had to do, and I can see Heidi and Bogart playing in the field while they wait for us to cross that bridge.
Knowing Bogart the way I do, he is probably winking and flirting with Heidi...probably happy to be able to give real doggy kisses again instead of the people kisses I taught him that weren't so sloppy.
We have to hang on to all the good memories, which will erase or at least blanket the last hurtful ones.
