I cannot take credit for this, but just found it on the web!

Feed in moderation, does contain MOLASSES

Mama Bird’s Nutriberries
1 cup of unsulphured dried fruit
2 Tablespoons of unsweetened coconut
1/2 cup of uncooked oatmeal
1/2 cup of organic raisins or currants
1/4 cup of small seeds and/or crushed nuts
1/4 cup of raw organic wheat germ flakes
2 Tablespoons of organic almond butter
1 Tablespoon of blackstrap molasses

Blend all the dry ingredients in a food processor until chopped finely. Place mixture into a bowl and add almond butter and molasses. Mix very well, the mix will be sticky. Roll mixture into small 1/2" balls and place on a cookie sheet. Save the fine coconut shreds until last and roll the balls in it, or shake them in a bag of wheat germ or ground almonds. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20 minutes. Cool and serve. Recipe x 4 makes over ninety nutriberries.

What has this world come to? ohmy.gif Here in NC molasses used to just kind of "show up" in quart jars, like fresh honey with a bit of honeycomb in the jar, moonshine with blueberries soaking in the bottom blink.gif , etc. Every time there was a visitor we'd get a new mason jar with goodies of some kind. I miss those days- haven't had fresh honey or molasses in ages! But I do still see the jars of peach brandy and berry-shine every now and then rolleyes.gif

Sorry for the memory lane strolling... Thanks for sharing the recipe- Nutriberries are expensive!!
