Just had to share!! My first time seeing snow, ever. I didn't get pics of it cuz I was in such a hurry to get to work, but we GOT SNOW!!!! They called it termination dust at work, that we that live on the top of the mountain get it first, but it was SO BEAUTIFUL!!! It's been 25 in the morning and up to 45 in the afternoon, while I'm jealous that Ma has it up in the 80s. Well, she ain't got snow!!!
Ryan forgot to close the rear slidin glass window in his truck, so he got it IN his truck. MMM...slush.

i've been meaning to ask how you're liking Alaska? is it as beautiful as i've heard? ahhh the first snow. i look forward to that every year.
it was around 75 degrees here yesterday when me and a co-worker left for lunch. there was an SUV in the parking lot and i turned to look at my friend and i said "doesn't it look like that car has snow on the back window" and she was thinking the same thing... too bad it was 75 degrees lol
i would love to see some pictures!!

I'm glad you got to see it.
If you don't get enough, you can come down to my neighborhood in a couple of months and feel free to take all you want.

I've got room for everybody!! ( one at a time though! ) And all are welcome!!
I am excited!! I'm used to South Georgia winters though I haven't had the full experience in 4 years, we only went home for Christmas. I miss home!!
From what I've been told, we'll have snow up here on the mountain and in Homer by the end of the month. I keep forgetting to get up early to scrape the ice off the windshield. I know that once I've had it for a month or so I'll be just as tired of it as the next person though!!
I posted pics a while back...Here's the link to the post.

Snow! Awesome! I lived in Wyoming years ago and that was a way of life there too. Schools never closed and you drove on snow all the time. But you had to be careful...so be careful!
I remember those pictures they sure are nice...and your daughter it looked like you cloned her the lil Rosebud lol

It takes some getting used to, that's for sure. I'm not used to living so far away from a Walmart, Kmart, or even a decently supplied pet store!! The birds' food has to be specially ordered, and the 2 Amazons they have in the store are on an extremely poor diet. The people that work there are really nice though.
But the snow, it's great!! Even though Ryan said not to like a little girl, I threw a snowball at him, got him square in the back. Was hilarious!! And I've been told that the first year is the best, but the second you're kind of tired of it. The sun lamp will be good for us and the birds. I'm gonna put their cages in the lving room so they can get more sunlight, naturally while it's out in the day. We've gotta get snowskis, and inner tubes.
I'm glad Kit & Skye won't be subjected to this. It does get nippy in the house. THANKS, Joni!!!!
