I am in the process of figuring out how to go about changing a guillotine cage door into a cage door that swings open.

I am currently in search of a lock that is bird safe that could be welded or drilled and welded to attach to the current cage. Does anyone know of a place that sells locks that would be and bird proof?

After I find a lock I will go about the change and I'll be sure to post lots of pictures! So anyone know of somewhere? lol

How about showing us a photo of your cage that your referring to so we can get a better idea...I have a couple ideas but want to see the cage first

My camera is messed up right now and I can't find the cage online. If you could show me the locks I can go from there.

Still working on fixing the camera. I can't imagine whats wrong with the silly thing! Anyone find any ideas on locks? I found this:

Online. It says its a bird cage lock but it looks like it would allow enough give for a bird to push its head through...Besides if I wanted something like that I'd buy some clip able D-rings at Walmart but I still don't think it would be very safe. If the bird got all three off that would be the end of that.

I'm in the process of figuring out how to make the two pieces that stick up on the bottom and down on the top that you have to hold out of the way while opening the door. I think that would greatly improve the cages safety.
