My first introduction to Heath Ledger was in the movie "10 Things I Hate About You" starring opposite of Julia Stiles. I like him in that so much I picked up "A Knight's Tale" and it rarely comes out of my VCR (I haven't got it on DVD yet). I have yet to see him in Grimm Fairytales, but soon. I am just bummed out he passed so young! He was a fabulous actor. He is also one of the leads in "Brokeback Mountain" and the lead in "The Order". He was born in Austrailia and was currently in NY having just finished filming the next installment of Batman playing the role of the Joker. He and his ex-girlfiend have a daughter who is just over a year old. How sad she won't get to know her father other than through his work.

I couldn't believe it when I heard this either. So sad. I loved him in The Patriot where he played Mel Gibson's son. What a great movie. Such a waste when people go this soon. As always, I'm sure there's more to the story, and it will unfold in front of the world horribly. I just hope that he didn't do it intentionally. *sigh*

Yeah, this one totally shocked me, so sad!

I was trying to tell the kid I tutor all the movies that he was in, and well...dang if she hasn't seen ANY of them. SO we're going to have a movie Marathon!

This is just so sad. He was a wonderful actor.

How sad for his family and friends. I loved the Patriot, one of his best movies.

I was shocked to hear about his death as well, especially being so young. It's a tragic loss to a great actor. I loved him in 10 things I hate about you. He was such a babe! (Sorry had to throw that in there)

Oh Andie, The Brothers Grimm was such a good movie you have to watch it! I agree he was a wonderful actor and it's so tragic that he has passed away at such a young age if it was from sleep deprevation that is just aweful!! He by far was one of the sexiest men ever!! :'( R.I.P Mr. Ledger
