I think it would be nice to put some blurb at the top of the page...similar to what you have for the Needs New Home section. Something telling posters to just post that they are in that state and be more specific if they want, but not giving their contact information in their post, and to limit using the thread for discussion purposes...maybe suggesting they use the PM function if they want to connect with another member in their state. OR maybe the above information can be put in the first post? Most people tend to read the first post, but not the stuff above it.
I'm not sure on posting States that have illegal Quakers or not. I mean this forum is open to all bird owners, but does revolve around QPs in general. We do have members that are still active that don't have Quakers though.
And I think having it in alpha order would work best. I mean new posts will show up in the 'view new posts' option, right?
Btw, Dee. You did a great job on this. Thanks!!

Agreed .. I have put it at the top of the forum page but will try to come up with something to put in the first post of every thread. I have created a thread for all States and like you mentioned we do have members that don't have quakers but would still be networking with others so we won't restrict it based on legal/illegal quaker states.
Switched it to Alpha order .. I think in most cases members will be looking for a specific state/region versus most recent. Yes the view new posts will function as normal ..
Carrie~Anne --> what do you think about splitting Canada? I mean geographically Canada is massive and a parrot transport in the province of Ontario alone could mean a two day drive ..

Alternatively we could leave it as one thread and suggest that members be clear about the location when posting for transports, bird sitting or listing avian events etc .. Thoughts?
Another thought --> The first post currently looks pretty bland .. As Carrie~Anne suggested I think I will try to come up with a blurb that identifies a purpose for roll call .. I was also thinking that maybe placing an image of the respective flags within the first post and maybe a quote that is reflective of the state/country/region.. What do you guys think?
It will take some time to build and refine but it is a project in the works right?
