This forum has what is called a Shout out box. It is for small shouts about something and is perfect for if using the main forum is to much at the time. Check it out and see what you all think. It would be a perfect way for me to let you all know how I am doing from day to day.

Very interesting, that could be useful!

I have a shoutbox at AnAG instead of Live Chat .. It is handy but major changes to the stock files so will check with Shelly to see if she is willing to go there ..

I have a question about this....is it something that appears on every page, even in the threads? Or just on the main forum page?

The shoutbox can be displayed on the index page or on every page. I personally wouldn't want to see it on every page ... and it is only on the index page at AnAG.

You can also click on the title link and it will open up in a page of it's own similar to live chat ..

Thanks Dee for letting me know it can be done, and for checking with Shelly to see if she would be willing to go in that direction. If I was able I would be more then willing to help with it but I am having a difficult time posting. Today has been better and my words are flowing easier then they have been. They also are not coming out backwards.

Thanks Dee, I asked because I didn't really want to see it on every page either. The index page would be fine...kinda cool actually, but I've been to forums where it's on every single page and it gets quite annoying.

Shelly and I have discussed the shoutbox and won't be going that route for now. Qp.com has a very active live chat so we will stay with that approach.

The shoutbox is very handy if you don't have a live chat but very time consuming when updating the forum stock files for upgrades .. Many manual edits involved ..
