Yer welcome Rose. My problem ... I'll be on vacation in Washington DC for the May fair (darn it!) but I will definintely try to make the October fair at the Delta Plex. There has GOT to be more bird shows/fairs around as well but I havent found them yet. If I find out, I'll post 'em.

Hello from Livonia!
Whats a bird fair?

Bird fairs are where you can find great deals on cages, toys, all kinds of bird-related stuff and BIRDS. Some have show birds as part of the draw. I take it you didnt get to the Livonia fair. You should get to the next one ... you'll love it.

Oh that sounds great! I sure wish i had known about them sooner, I would have gone to the one in Livonia! I'm sure i could make it to a couple next year. Maybe i'll try for the one in waterford on the 7th.

Royal Oak here! I went to the one in Warren in April..mostly cause my baby was gonna be there It was pretty cool to see all the different birdies..and we got lots of good ideas for making our own bird toys!

mommyx24 - have to been to K9 supplies in Warren and/or Discount Pets in Livonia? Really good bird stores!

jeskew725 - Havent been to either but the discount pets in Livonia I will probably go to today. I wasnt aware of them before now so thank you. Their website is great and the store WOW!!! Deffinatly looks like i could spend a day there! I need to replace a fav toy thats on its last leg and the exact toy was on thier website in a photo! Angel throws a tantrum if I try to take it away perhaps she wont if i put in a new one. And oh my the variety they have in everything! looks like a parrot paradise!

I didn't know there was a place in Livonia! I won't be to far from there this weekend..(i think) I'm heading down to Saranac to go camping. (please hold off rain please hold off rain!!)

Oh yeah! the place in Livonia is on Middlebelt between 5 & 6 mile I believe. You literally cannot just "pop" in; way too much to look at! When I was there last week they had a few baby quakers too The lady there seems to know what she is doing, as they always have some sort of baby birdies, and I've seen them hand feed them. I haven't actually talked to her, just mainly gone in and got some toys and perches. I will have to say that the prices seem to be as good if not better than most places around, and yes, the selection is HUGE!!!

I'm in Westland, would be happy to sit your bird, have a back room so your fid could be kept separate from mine for health reasons but its the computer room so someones always in there for company. Not afraid of beaks!

ok..It's almost that time!!! Would love to get an idea on who might be going......(i can already see Jo jumping up and down waving her hands going ME! ME! MEEEE!) I'm a toss up at this point....will depend on how things go with a house I'm looking at....But I REALLY want to go...I have never been to one and it would be fun seeing some of you guys again...(kid free this time LOL)

August 2 at Weber's Inn (3050 Jackson rd., 48103) is the Ann Arbor Cage Club Bird show from 10 to 4. I go every year and it is a good show. Prices are not bad and breeders are there. My vet was there one year. Good mix of things both for birds and those who are owned by birds. The vendors will take orders and usually give you free shipping if you order at the show (if what you need is sold out).

Are any of you going?? I would love to meet some quaker people there.-- I am in Toledo -- about less than an hour away and hope to go.

I am going to go as far as I know. I am leaving that day for a vacation but hope to get there mid morning to early afternoon. Let me know if you are going and we'll find a place to meet.
