Frankie's Mom
Paulie is a Black Winged Jardine's that joined us a little over a week ago. For those of you who remember, he was the one who was kept outside for over six months last year after his owner moved out of his girlfriend's house and left him behind.

Paulie has what seems to be an endless list of health ailments, but he is making progress slowly but surely. Imagine my surprise this morning when I opened his cage so he could walk along the counter to get his morning treat and he stepped right up onto my hand! He walked along my forearm, sat and enjoyed a Nutriberry, and then made a series of clicks and squee's followed by a big smack of a kissy sound!

I thought for certain it would be at least another month before this guy began to trust us, but I am very happy he has decided otherwise! wub.gif

Joni, Paulie is a beauty, I am a firm believer that all creatures be it feather, fur can tell if your ok they have a six sense, some have been abused or neglected for some time so they fear trusting themselves to trust us more than they actually fear us Hope that makes sense

Anyway what a cutie and did you doubt it, why he is at Joni's charm school,
Hugs from Mya, the rest of the fids, and me

How exciting!! I have recently experience something similar. I recently took a green cheek conure from some people who gave it no attention and she has been very wary of me, until just a few weeks ago. It has been so rewarding have her come up to me, instead of running away. Don't you just love showing them that people can be kind and good??
