Frankie's Mom
Hi Everyone,

My name is Ivy, and I am a precious 8 month old quaker awaiting my DNA results. wub.gif My Mommy and Daddy brought me home four months ago and didn't consider how much care I would require, in addition to them expecting a baby in May. They decided that I had to go live somewhere else ohmy.gif , so Joni was kind enough to drive to Hannibal MO to retrieve me. wub.gif

I have become very comfortable in Joni's home. biggrin.gif My cage sits near the lizard tanks, and they are hours of amusement for me. I know how to step up, I can say a few words, and have an excellent appetite! Joni has been switching me to pellets with dried fruit and veggies instead of all of the seed I received at my old home. I still like the seed best, but she tells me this other stuff is better for me. tongue.gif

My favorite toy is my boing, and this is where I like to sleep also. I am fully flighted, and actually maneuver quite well. I enjoy going for a spin around the dining room several times a day! rolleyes.gif I also like bells and anything I can shred. Sorry the photos aren't of better quality ... I don't like to sit still! tongue.gif

Joni tells me that there is a loving, forever home out there just waiting for a darling like me. I am hoping so ... can you please help me find that forever home?

~Thanks for reading~
Ivy

It is always so sad when people just give up birds. Poor baby. Hope he gets a forever home soon.

What are ya gonna call Ivy if it is a he? lol What is the process of adotion? I try to stick with males for fear of egg binding and the hormones that go along with egg laying. I would like to be interested but im sure hubby wouldnt like it. I guess i really dont have time right noe but im really tempted.

I have owned quakers in the past and found them to be fun pets. I currently do not have any pets. I might be interested in adopting Ivy. She sounds like a great bird.

Joni...still waiting to know if Ivy is a male. What is the adoption process and the fee? She is very pretty and obviously in good health. Someone, including myself , can surely take Ivy in.

Hi All,

I am still waiting on Ivy's DNA results, so Kate, I can't tell you if Ivy is a he or a she! rolleyes.gif

I will post as soon as I know, though!

Thanks for those who have sent me PM's, and for those who are interested who haven't yet ... please do so! I get confused sometimes with the forum names equating to the actual human names wink.gif !

Thanks for looking! We will get Ivy the best home ever!!

Hugs,
Joni
