Hello everyone! Let me take a minute to tell you my situation. We have 6 fids in our home. We have a Quaker(my baby) named Draco. A Breeding pair of Cockatiels (French Fry & Zelda) and 3 Parakeets (these are my son's and they are named Buddy, Satan and Bleach). Draco was our first Fid. We got him from a little mom and pop pet store for 180.00 BEST 180.00 I ever spent! He was suppose to be a Christmas present for my hubby who had expressed his want for a "bird that had the ability to talk". Draco came to live with us Christmas of 2006. He has since then "chose" me. LOL He loves me and gives me kisses. When I do dishes he is on the counter watching or looking out the window.
I have toyed with the idea of adding another Quaker to our home and have started the search! About a month ago I saw a post come across my email from my local freecycle group. Someone was looking for a home for their Quaker(due to a move). We picked a date for me to go meet "Budgie" and of corse I was VERY excited! However the day before the woman changed her mind. I was crushed. So again my search marches on......
I am looking for a quaker in NY....possible close to home. I love the little clowns. I would rather adopt one that needs a home then to purchase another baby. PLEASE if you are looking to rehome a quaker in Upstate NY ... Contact me at alslater63@yahoo.com. Thank You!!!
