Full Version: Quaker Needs A Home In Indianapolis

Hi Folks! I need to find a new home for a Quaker parrot that my sister-in-law forced upon me. I've tried really hard to adjust to her (I've always had cats or dogs, so I consider myself an animal lover!)but I find that I am just NOT a bird person. I think real bird persons will understand this. I understand why some people aren't so keen on cats, but I absolutely LOVE them! In any case, I want to find a wonderful home for Lulu, as she has been named. She's relatively untamed - I haven't been able to pick her up for any amount of time - and she bites. I have a sense, though, that she has a very sweet predisposition, if only she was with someone who understands these critters and knows how to make her feel comfortable. She is less than 2 years old, as I understand it, and she has apparently been sexed as a female, although I have no proof of that. She will come with all the equipment I have for her: cage, food, toys, etc. I'm asking no money, but would just like to find a home with someone who will really care about her. She's so young, and I'd like her to have a stable life. If interested, please email me at jspurgin@plainfieldlibrary.net. THanks everyone!
