Hello, I wish we didn't need to find a new home for Gizmo, but he (not tested so not sure of sex) needs someone that has time to make him a happy bird. He was bought for my son by his grandma about 3 years ago, but in recent months son has been so active in school and church, he doesn't have the time he needs to spend with him. I try to spend time with him, but he is not tame and bites and I am not knowledgable at all on how to train him and haven't the time to do so.
I and my son love him, and although we are sad to get a new home for him, we realize he needs TLC and a person that will give him the attention and love he needs to be happy. He talks some and I have no idea his age. He says "thank you" when fed, and "uhoh" if you drop something. Also "laughs" when someone else laughs in the house. He comes with his cage, perches, toys, and food and water bowls. My son is asking a $50 rehoming fee. We live in Stilwell Oklahoma, which is about 90 miles southeast of Tulsa, very near Arkansas border, also very close to kansas and Missouri, within 100 miles driving distance from these areas.
I love our animals, and know he just needs more attention than we have to give him and I know a good home would make a world of difference is his quality of life. We love him and want him to go to someone that will give that to him.
Thank you all,
Steffie

Pics might help if you can post them. Does he have any health probs that you are aware of? Im sure if he was a plucker you would have mentioned it. Sorry you have to rehome your birdie but you know what is best. Good luck.

Goodluck on finding Gizmo a home. I live close to you, but I don't have 50 dollars to pay for him!

Just an update. As of right now, we have plans for Gizmo to go home with Joni this coming Saturday! I am sad that he is leaving, selfishly, but am happy as well, because I know very much so that he will have a much happier and fuller life with someone that can give him all that we can't. My son is also sad to have him go, but loves him so much, he wants him to be with someone that better knows how to care for him. I will add more later. I hope that Joni will update on his progress, I would love to be able to know how he is doing!

You sure do a lot of driving Joni. With gas as high as it you must have a lot of devotion and passion for what you do. One of these days i will have to check and see what you have for adoption. Bless you.

Come on by any time you make it to STL, Kate! Gah, I can't even begin to think about the price of fuel without wanting to cry. There is really no way to put a price on these little ones, though ... I'll keep doing it as long as I am able!
