I had the most difficult decision of my life today. My sweet loving English Bulldog of 12 years left this earth. Daisey was the closest companion animal I have ever had. She was gentle to a fault and allowed our Shi Tzu's to boss her around, and my son who came along a year after her would try to ride her. She loved car rides with daddy wich alway's included a trip to McDonalds even if I was not hungry. We would frequent the local snow cone stand where she would sit on the curb with my family and I until she finished hers.

She went into respiratory failure and there was little left the vet could do when we were faced with putting her to sleep. She was a 1 in amillion and will surely be missed.

I am so very sorry for your loss, she is a beautiful girl.

I'm sorry for your loss - there is nothing that can be said at this time to take away the pain from you, but just know that SHE is looking down now free of pain and will always be with you. Hug to you and yours.

Tom, so sorry to hear of the loss of your Daisey. It is a very difficult thing to have to go through. Nothing makes you feel better except maybe time. I have been there twice with my dachshunds, one of which was 17. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I am so very sorry for your loss and the decision you had to make but it was done with love and care for her and she knows that. I am close to that right now with my cocker spaniel mix and it is so hard to let go.

I guess we have all been there/done that, so we know how very badly you are hurting at this time. We also know it takes a long time for the heart to heal, so I'm asking God to heal yours as quickly as possible.

A Dog For Jesus

I wish someone had given Jesus a dog as loyal and loving as mine

to sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes and adore Him for being divine.

As our Lord grew to manhood His faithful dog would have followed Him all through the day

while He preached to the crowds and made the sick well, and knelt in the garden to pray.

It is sad to remember that Christ went away to face death alone and apart,

with no tender dog following close behind to comfort its Master's Heart.

And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn how happy He would have been

as His dog kissed His hands and barked its delight for The One who died for all men.

Well, the Lord has a dog now, I just sent Him mine; the old pal so dear to me

and I smile through my tears on this first day alone, knowing they're in eternity.

It's so hard to lose a good friend, especially when you have to make that awful decision. I recently had to help my dear old greyhound to the forever place and it was so, so hard. I miss her heaps and I wish she could be here with me now. It's never long enough; the time we have to spend with them. I hope we can be a support to you in your grief.

Thomas I know this is so hard on you and any time one loses a pet, no matter what way it is, it hurts---and I know it hurts bad....A few years ago I had to put down all three of my golden retrievers, (2 of them at one time) and boy, I was a wreck....

So do know that we mourn with you and hope in time the hurt will heal...My thoughts are with you and your family....

so very sorry for your loss. I lost my dog of 14 yrs not too long ago. I still miss her dearly, but her pain has been eased and she is with my son now....

Sorry for your loss. At least she's no longer in pain, you made the right decision however hard it was. Most only live on average 8-10 years, look like your girl had a good long life and a happy one by the sounds of her temperment. It's always hard to part with a family member.
