Petey is all settled in with us!! Joni was by at 11 this morning and we took well to us - so here is he! He is in his cage right now sitting by the couch watching TV with us now. The other pets (Cocker spaniel and 2 cats) are very interested, but have been behaving quite well so far. Wrigley is a worry-wort and has been pacing around wimpering. He is always like this when a new addition comes in so I am sure that he will settle down soon. I am sitting here with the squirt bottle as we speak in case I need to remind anyone that they can not stand up to look inside his cage. He is eating already and has been sitting on his boing. He hasn't really started playing with any toys yet though. He has been extremely quiet so far - only a few little squawks so far, but Joni says that he is usually extremely calm and quiet. Joni dropped Petey off to us and then was on her way to near Springfield to pick up a new rescue (Eclectus I think) so the cycle continues for her! I'll get some pics up this evening to show you him and his new cage.

She is one brave lady too. I dont like driving very far from home by myself. If someone is with me i dont mind so much. If it is an eclectus that she is getting..i wonder if it is male or female. Hmmmm. May have to check that out.

He's really come out of his shell in the last 2 hours! He's been chattering and has been crawling all over his cage and rattling his toys! We were making dinner in the kitchen and he was in his cage in the family room and he was calling to us and singing - it was awesome!!! Hehe

I am soooo very happy to hear that Petey is settling in! I figured it wouldn't take long! Kristin and Ryan have a beautiful home that is extremely pet friendly, so I knew the second I walked in that it was a perfect match!
Can't wait to see those pics ...

Thanks again for becoming Petey's forever parronts!
Hugs,
Joni

Here is is! I still can't get over how quiet he is! He got really silly last night around 7pm and we put him to bed at 9pm - we are keeping his cage in our bedroom at night and when we aren't home. He didn't make a sound this morning until I woke him up at 6:45am. I gave him new food and water and then I went back to bed since I am taking the day off of work. He ate a little and played for a while and then I think he went back to sleep too!! We got up at 9 and took his first bath. I don't think he liked it well! We'll here are the pics as promised! I'll be updating often I am sure since I am a very proud parent! The pics are of Kimmy and Maddie my cats, and then a few of Petey after his bath, and one of Petey playing and Wrigley watching - enjoy!
A couple of the pics didn't pop up here they are! I've got to get this figured out!
Well, I guess the on of Wrigley and Petey won't go...
