Well, I can hardly type because I am so upset to have to do this because I love my babies so much sad.gif I have late stage COPD and find it difficult to even walk across the room some days, let alone continue to clean cages and care for my babies. I would be selfish to keep them because I am so attached to them. Thats why I have decided to do what is best for my bords and try to re-home them with those who have the time and experience to dedicate to them.

The first is Jessy:

Jessy is and unsexed(I believe he is male) 10 month old Green Quaker who has about a 6 or 7 phrase vocabulary. I keep Jessy's wings clipped and expect new owner to do the same. Jessy is very demanding and can be quite loud at times. He is not very territorial and loves to be with his chosen. He loves to be scritched and play peek a boo. He is on a pelleted diet and gets birdy bread and fresh fruit and veggies daily as well as stuff like pasta, rice, eggs etc from the people's meals. Jessy is in perfect feather but has show signs of frustration and because of this has attacked his feet or wings (no damage done in either case). At this point in time Jessy is out of his cage about 4 hours a day and I would expect the new owner to do the same. Jessy would come with his cage, toys etc. This is not a give away...I do have a steal of a price in mind. Please PM me if interested.

Now my 4 sweet cockatiels.

Mary and Lacy are two female tiels who I rescued 6 months ago.

Lacy: 2 year old gorgeous Pearled tiel in pristine feather. Lacy has been a difficult one to had tame and will step up if you are persistent. She loves to be scritched. Lacy typically refuses to leave the cage unless forced to do so. Therefore, lacy remains caged most of the time. With some work and patience she will become a wonderful companion.

I wish you all the best. Since Jessy is so young, perhaps you can contact the breeder you got him from and maybe they would take him back?

I would also consider researching rescues in Ontario too as an option, do your research though, not all are good ones.

.....CONTINUED FROM LAST POST

Mary: 2 year old gorgeous whiteface tiel in pristine feather. Mary is anti social...not in a mean way but she is very timid. Mary refuses to leave the cage and gets frightened if you try to get her out. Therefore unfortunately, Mary remains caged at all times. With lots of work and patience she will likely become a wonderful companion.

I don't have pics of just Mary but the ones below show Lacy and Mary together on one of the rare occasions that Mary actually came out.

MARY AND LACY MUST BE HOMED TOGETHER.

Banjo and Linny are also to be homed together. Both are on a pelleted and seed diet and should convert to pellets only with little or no effort.

BANJO: Is a 2 year old normal grey and is a very big boy (not fat...just big) in perfect feather. He is not much for scritches and being cuddled but he loves to roost on your shoulder and have you return his whistles. Banjo is a stud (or he thinks he is) and has a wonderful disposition. He is hand trained and a wonderful friend. Banjo (as with all our birds has his wings clipped at all times. Banjo is nothing less than a real character.

BANJO

Linny: Linny is a 2 year old male Lutino cockatiel and the tiel I will likely miss the most. Linny has slightly deformed feet and and has some difficulty perching at times. He has learned very well in his life how to climb the cage bars and how to compensate for his handicap. Because of his occasional issues with perching he tends to fall to the cage bottom at least once a day this has damaged some of his tail feathers so he is presently not in perfect feather. Once these broken and damaged feathers are moulted and new ones grow in Linny is stunning. Linny is the self proclaimed King of the cage and he does not care who knows it! He is the drill master of the flock and you can always hear him yelling out commands to the other tiels. Despite his rough exterior, Linny is the biggest suck of all our birds. He thrives on scritches and loves to be out of the cage. Linny is on the same diet as Banjo.

Linny

As with Lacy and Mary....Banjo and Linny are also a pair and lifelong friends and I will only rehome them together. Both Banjo and Linny are out of the cage with family no less than 1 hour a day.

Please PM me if you are interested in bringing one of 5 babies into your lives. Please only serious inquiries please.

I live in St Catharines, Ontario and do not drive...therefore you would need to come to my home to see the birds. There are a few things I expect from the new owners.

1. They MUST be experienced with the breed and be experienced as a bird owner.
2. The new owner MUST intend on having the birds as pets/companions only and not for breeding purposes.
3. For the tiels only....I will NOT break up a pair...so don't ask.

Thanks again for looking. More pics/vids available .... just ask via PM.

We have decided to keep Banjo and Linny and have found a place for Lacy and Mary. Jessy has a few people interested but as of today he is still available.
