I was reading on how to add an avatar by going to my controls and copying a url and all that stuff but how are you people making them? I see 5 pictures of all your pets, cartoons with looks like another picture of a bird somehow added to the first picture to make it look like they were taken together, a regular pic and then an animated cartoon inside of it, ect. HOW IS THIS DONE?????? It seems like you have to be some sorta computer wiz to put those pictures together. Please help!

If you will email Majj, she does all of the signatures. It is really easy. There is a part of this forum that you can go to that talks about signatures.....

OK well I just made a signature with my pets but the stinkin' thing won't do what I want it to. I want the name of each pet right above their pic. Instead when I go to save it like that, it saves it like this: Ernie (blah blah) Marley (blah), Winston (blah). One right after the other. I want them spaced out so that the pet's name starts right above each picture. Why is this so difficult?

The avatar just gets downloaded from your computer not from photobucket in the "Edit Avatar Settings" in your Control panal. It says they downsize it automatically but but I always downsize the picture fairly small (needs to be less than 25kb I think) then upload it. smile.gif

For the signature, just try to add some spaces in between each name and then preview and see if it works, if not add some more spaces and just keep adding until it's perfect. smile.gif

Good luck, I hope that helps!

That is soo cute! How do you do that? Now how do I apply those to my profile when they are just in the message?

Your pets are adorable!!!

To get the signatures that Marion made for you, just click on them to open them up into a new screen. Then save the signatures onto your computer and go through the same motions as you did to upload the signature that you have up right now.

To save them to your computer, click the thumbnails to open - When the picture opens, right click on it and a menu will pop up. Choose "Save Picture As" to save them to your computer.

Next go to "My Controls" at the top of any page - "Edit Signature" and upload like you did for the signature you have now.

For the Avatar picture, Right click on it to save it to your computer - Go to "My Controls" - "Edit Avatar Settings" - Upload the picture.

I did that and now the thing is so tiny and I can't even see it. I clicked on the image she had in her response and the saved it in my computer (will it still be animated if I do that?). Then I had to upload it to a site like photobucket so I could have a url for it because it won't just let me upload a pictuer from my computer because that would be too easy. When I entered the url I got this tiny pic that you see now. HELP!
Carrie~Anne
No, for the signatures, you can't upload from your computer (the avatars you can though).

Just to be sure....when you clicked on the images that she had in her post...did they open a new screen and the images appeared larger? That is what you want to save onto your computer (the larger sizes). Then, from there, you can upload that into your online photo album.

Also, it might be one of the links you chose from the online photo album. I'm not sure which one you are using, but usually they give you three choices. One for thumbnail size, one for original and the other for medium. If you chose the thumbnail size, it will be smaller.

At photobucket, you use "Direct Link". I usually just open the picture and copy the URL from the browser's address bar (It's the same URL).

Thanks for all the help, but I need just a little bit more. lol I got the signature to work, but I finally was able to get Ernie's correct hatch date and it's 4-3-08, not 3-10-08. Also I put the avatar in there but it's not animated. Is it suppose to be? Thanks!
