I have a beautiful little yellow sided green cheek conure that I am looking to rehome. She is a sweet little bird and very easy to take care of, however, I bought her hoping that she and my Quaker Parrot would get along and after 6 months of trying, it just isn't happening. As a result, neither bird is getting as much attention as they need because I am forced to separate them and spend time with them separately.
I would prefer that she go to a home with previous bird experience and to a home without small children, as she does get nervous sometimes if there is a great deal of commotion. She is used to being in a busy area of the house where people are coming in and out a lot, but unfortunately, the people who owned her before me, did not socialize her well with lots of different people so she would do best with a couple or single person. She takes a little bit of time to get used to new people, but once she does, she is very affectionate and sweet, coming right up to you so you can kiss her head. She is very playful and energetic as well, amusing herself for hours with her toys, hanging upside down, etc. Also, she is very quiet and would be suitable for apartment life(she does not have the harsh scream associated with sun and nanday conures, as green cheek conures come from a different family within the conure family. Also, she can say a few words like hello, good boy, step up, kiss kiss(though her talking is not as clear as my Quaker)
She comes with a playstand, a huge beautiful powder coated cage on a stand, pellets and all of her favorite toys.
I have more pictures and can take some of the cage too if you are interested. Please either email me or call me 585-281-6200.
I am located in Lynchburg, VA.
Thanks!

I wish you luck. I have a green cheek and a quaker they don't get a long either, but I love em both and resigned myself to the fact that they never will get a long but when one leaves the room with me they certainly are missing each other.

Good luck with finding a good home for your little one. Some lucky person will snap her up from you. If you were within driving distance, I'd be that lucky person ... oh well ... good luck
