Please tell me if I'm overposting about Tucker ... there are just so many new things I'm excited about!

Tonight he made his first human sounds! He kept laughing over and over! And he sounds exactly like my MOTHER-IN-LAW, which is a little freaky. (God definitely has a sense of humor.)

Anyway, I can't believe it! I've been waiting for this day since we got him. Must have been that first bath ... the water cleaned out his pipes or something. Now onward to that first word! Any bets on what it will be?

Good night! cool.gif

Hi Sandi!

No link yet. Just a report. But I'll try to get him on camera doing it tomorrow. Hopefully he'll start laughing like ME, though!

Quincy's Slave
I just love it when Quincy laughs, it's my favorite!

Wait til Tucker starts laughing at the right moments, like when you say something funny, or especially when you're scolding him for something naughty and he laughs. It's just the best and hard not to laugh too

The laugh is one of the best things about my guy! It only gets better as more words develop.
Yesterday morning he played a trick on me that made me laugh all the way to work. A few weeks ago he started yelling "BYE BYE" as I closse his cage before I leave the house. It is in a loud, different voice than his usual one, and is funny by itself. Yesterday he didn't say it, and I said "No bye bye?" a few times, then just gave up. As I reached the door, he shouted BYE BYE again -- and then chuckled ha ha ha ha ha haaaaaa. It was a RIOT. No one would believe what it is like to live with these guys. They are AMAZING.

louie laughs sometimes appropriately and it's hilarious. it's normally at a time when something isn't ha ha funny, but strange funny. or if i'm watching a baseball game and my team makes a mistake, he'll laugh. evil bugger. he also started this evil laugh, like a mua ha ha laugh, where the last part is drawn out, and that's normally at a time when it's really quiet in the room. wub.gif when he first started the laugh, he did it and bobbed his head straight up and down at the same time, which would always get me going.

right around christmas, when both birds were out with us, they both had me laughing so hard my face was sore and i had tears rolling down my face.

My Toby hasn't said any words and I don't expect he will but he lets out with an amazing raucus laugh whenever he feels like it. It put myself and my husband into hysterics!
I hope the new baby, coming in a couple of weeks will talk to me!

Pixie just started laughing too - and it is definitely my laugh. He also chirrups like Sprite (a parrotlet). I learned this by being in the shower yesterday morning and freaking out - got out all wet and naked even - because Sprite was FREAKING out really loud. Turns out - not Sprite but Pixie doing a very good and loud Sprite impersonation. She laughed when I came in the room nude and dripping - great way to start the day! Even my bird laughs at me naked! ;D

She's making all sorts of vocal-y noises and I hope she comes out with words soon. It is awesome watching them learn, eh? Rob has taught her to nod when he asks her if she is pretty, and growl when he plays "Got your nose".
Cheekys mum
They are just really Big mimics! And will often sound just like their owners and ppl who visit!

I love to hear all the fun things that everyones Quakers do! It is inspiring and just plain fun! Skittles is laughing, we think. He will be in his cage just playing around and making funny sounds, and then he will do something that sounds like a laugh. But if you say anything to him or try to get him to do it on command, he just looks at you funny! Silly thing!

I was out the other day and I got a text from my daughter. It said: "OMG MOM! Skittles just barked!" He did it one other time, but I was out of the room! She yelled did I hear it, but of coarse I didn't! UGH! dry.gif Oh well, all in good time.
Casey's Mom
Awww, he laughed! wub.gif I love the little Quaker laughs! Casey laughs at the most appropriate moments! biggrin.gif

All the 'firsts' are always exciting and it's so much fun to hear about all the new things Tucker does, so don't worry about overposting! smile.gif

That's so funny! (Even my BIRD laughs at me naked!)

I play the got your nose game, too, but I grab it and say "make a piggy noise!" and it's hilarious cause that's just what he sounds like!
