QTQP4me
hey guys. i am posting for a forum member who hasn't been on for a while, so i do hope this isn't considered cross posting. i offered to post for her because she hasn't been around for a while and is pretty busy. misty adopted caesar a while back and posted in the intro section and diet and health i believe (i tried to link the thread because there's a pic in there, but was unsuccessful. you can go to the intro section, search for caesar. it's called "hi i'm misty").

caesar was a plucked green qp. due to changes in her homelife (new job and now schooling too), she is looking to rehome her 2 birds. i am willing to act as go between as far as contacting/questions, etc, but as far as arrangements you will have to work that out personally. below is a bit of communications i had with her today. i would love to take caesar home with me, but i don't know that ian would like that too much as we are pretty full at the inn ourselves.

it's very sad for me sad.gif As far as I know, he is still no longer plucking. However, he is not looking like he's going to get any feathers back on his chest. He has filled out quite a bit on his but and around his wings, and is getting more new growth all the time. I will include with each bird everything that they have now.

Caesar has his flight cage, tons of dishes, toys (although he could probably use more, but he has never really played with them much), and he still has his happy hut, but he's chewing it up like crazy smile.gif He loves to chew kleenexes and paper. I think he will fall in love with a new owner if he gets enough attention, but as of right now he bites at everyone. He also has a play gym that I built out of plastic tinkertoys. I would like to get at least $75, only because I put so much money into his new cage and vet bills and so forth.

Archie is a normal colored cockatiel. He is in a cockatiel sized cage with a swing, plenty of dishes, and a few toys. He isn't very tame, but I think if someone spent time with him each day, he would get friendlier. I have gotten him to step up a few times when he came out of his cage. I would like to get at least $25 for him.

If it comes down to it, I just want them in good homes. They don't need to go to the same person, due to the fact that they really don't even like eachother smile.gif They are housed across the room from one another, for Archie's safety. Thanks so much! I really hope I can find someone who will have more time for them! I also have some frozen birdy bread and frozen fruits and veggies that the new owner could have (I would send it with Caesar, as Archie won't eat any of it).

she is not firm on her rehoming fees if that helps, most interested in finding forever homes with understanding people who are willing to resocialize these guys. you can shoot me a PM to get my email (i use my work email so i am hesitant to blindly post it), or misty's, or more info.

I have decided that I need to keep my promise to Caesar that he always will have a home with us. We are going to keep him! However, I still think that Archie the tiel would do better in a home where he could get consistent daily attention. Thanks everyone!
