I have been a member for a couple of months now, but have not had time to post.
My name is Dawn I have a long and short haird Dashchund. When I was young my parents had a tame Galah and I have always wanted a tame parrot
I reserched on the net and a Quaker parrot was what I decided I would like.

Did not finnish last post clicked wrong button, I have a child with disabilities when she goes to school I have enjoyed the quite as she talks none stop which is realy good as that is how she learns,no complaints.
I now have a new family member who talks as much as Ashley, no more quite time, his name is Mikey the green Quaker within a week of arriving he was eight weeks old he started talking and has not stoped. ALL day none stop so many words these birds are very smart they seem to no when to say the right word. What a wonderful addition to are family even with no more quite time

Hi Dawn, Welcome to the forum! You will love it here, lots of wonderful folks and great info. I have been a member for over a year and have learned so much here and made some new friends as well. I have 5 dachshunds, 3 long hair, 1 short hair and 1 wire. We even had a litter of pups 3 years ago. Doxies are the best, in the dog world I mean and Quakers in the bird world.
