Okay.... I rescued a little quaker about 9 months ago. I've been working with him, but he really does need a home where there is only no more than 1 other like sized bird. He wants so much attention and I can't give it to him because I also have 3 other birds.

I HATE having to write this, but this is for his own good.

He is cage territorial and a little hand shy. He loves to cuddle on your shoulder or leg when he warms up to you. The only way I can get him out of his cage right now is by offering a toweled hand for him to leap onto (he jumps right in and cuddles into it with no chasing or biting). He does not like the color yellow. He does vocalize when he wants attention and will say hello and shut up (he only says shut up at night when he is tired and wants to sleep, it scares me he knows how to use it in context lol).

If you live in Oklahoma I would love for you to take him. He doesn't come with a cage and there is no rehoming fee. I will take him back if he does not fit into your family, but I do ask you try 1 month before returning him if possible since he is a shy bird. He is vet checked and healthy

I have not been able to convert him to 100% pellet yet, but he will eat some carrots and apples with the occassional greens. If you are interested PM and we can talk!

Thank you so much...

Crabby may have found a home! I'm meeting a member from here next saturday and they will see how he does! His potential new loving home is very excited, and so am I!

I think this was ment to be, I've been having an internal conflict for about 3 months now... and when I finally made a decision, the response happened so FAST!

Hello Everyone! I am the new potential owner of Crabby! I am looking forward in meeting my new little green monster! I was so excited to have a reply so fast for my desire for another quaker. I actually put an add on "Craigs List" and then also seen the posting here @ QuakerParrots.com. I can't wait to meet him. I have all sorts of fun lined up for the newbie. I am sure it will take a while to get used to his new home, but I will do all that I can to make his transition easier. He has a big cage waiting for him(won't be in it much) , with all kinds of new toys. I am in the process of making a play gym for him and for my rescue, "Sweet Pea". I can understand "Catfish" wanting him back if it does not work out. I can't seem to think of a reason it would not. I just "re-homed" two beautiful Teils for a friend mine, who unfortunately could not keep them. I also advised the new owner, if it does not work out, they are to come back to me. We love our animals and it is hard to let them go. We all want to be confident that the new owner will love and nurture our little ones. I want to say Thank You for this wonderful, informative site. It is great to be part of such a wonderful group. I will be posting pictures of my babies! wub.gif Just wanted to say again.. Thank You Catfish excl.gif
