Sassy needs to have Knee surgery on both knee's for dysplasia. Since I have hip displasia, I know what it will feel like if nothing is done. Since my brother also had it and it was corrected for him, I truly do know it needs to be done. Cost- $800 to $1000 If I get them both done at the same time it will save me money.

I asked to see the Doctor that would be doing the surgery to talk to him about it, but he doesn't see patients any more he only does surgery. He was our VET for years with my parrots and I am sick that my puppy's can't see him as he is the best of the best in my opinion. I don't understand why he can't take 3 minutes to talk to me so I feel better about having this done.

Bear will be getting neutered as soon as Misters SS check is here.

Bear came to us with a cough. We treated for a bacterial infection often picked up when kenneled, boarded or in pets stores even if the dog has had it's kennel cough vacination. He still has this cough ever now and then like he is going to puke, but nothing comes up. It sounds like there is some phlem or something but nothing ever comes up.

Our options- put him on a steriod and antihistimine
Have his Trach X-rayed to see if he was born with a collapsed trach.

Gosh, and to think Bear has never been collared to keep this from happening only to find out that 50% or more of the time it's been found to be genetically linked. Anyone hear that before?

I'm so sorry about Sassy! I don't understand why the vet won't take a few minutes to talk to you. I will keep Sassy , Bear in my prayers!

I also will be keeping your son in my prayers for his surgery to go well. And a speedy recovery!
