However, I have one that I have handfed from 3 weeks. He is now about 12 weeks old and still wants formula at least 3 times a day. Is there some special way to wean them?

Are you offering him other foods, I assume.?

Yes, veggies, pellets, soaked pellets, seed mix and spray millet. However, he still wants the formula.
