So I'm on vacation in Florida this week and we don't come home to Minnesota until Monday night but we had to leave Pickles at home and I miss her LOL Of course we have someone coming to our home and feeding her and playing with her and preening her but I still wish she could have come with us! Oh well only a few more days...I'm coming Pickles! wub.gif

Anyways I know you guys will understand how much I miss her...smile.gif

We all understand... and the best thing to do in this situation is to find yourself a Petshop and buy Pickles a present, that will make you feel better and pickles will enjoy it also. laugh.gif

Yup buying a present is always good, just don't look at the other birds. Today my husband and I went to the big city for a day out, and 4th anniversary dinner. Well I was doing fine until my husband started making baby grey whooping sounds. It is a good thing that I am not jealous, because he was suppose to be concentrating on me not his new baby grey, waiting for him at home. We got home late, but we still went and took them, my Tiki (quaker), and his Zuri (CAG) out of the cage for a cuddle. They were both so happy to see us, and us them, is that sad or what?

I know how you feel,I went to Florida in May for 9 days and it was so hard leaving Shakespeare at home.I kept worrying that something bad was going to happen while I was away.Or that he might be so upset that he would start plucking. But when I got home he was fine and soooooo happy to see me that he just kept making kissing sounds and saying "I Love you" over and over.He sure got a whole lot of attention that day lol

Thanks guys. We are coming home soon and we did hear from the folks that are taking care of her and she is doing fine. smile.gif (As are our other pets: poison dart frogs, fish, and our dog). And I redid her cage before we left because as some of you may know, she didn't play with toys because in her abusive home she didn't have any sad.gif. But recently we found out that she loves her metal toy with the beads and chimes, so we bought three others like that one and replaced all of her perches with rope ones because those are her favorites biggrin.gif (she didn't feel safe on her other perch because it was made for smaller birds and doesn't quite support her weight lol

So hopefully while we are gone she decides to play with her new toys! biggrin.gif And since she sleeps on the floor of her cage (again a side effect from being abused) we bought her a furry green birdy hideout she can sleep in so it might be a bit more comfy too.

Well we got home yesterday at 11pm so I held Pickles for an hour before I went to bed and she missed me! She is being so sweet and imitating my kissing noises wub.gif And she is tentatively exploring her new toys too! YAY

I know this is a little over the top but just shoot me if I have to be away from my babies. LOL So glad your home and got to hold your Pickles. wub.gif
