Well he didn't get home until 7pm. He had to be at the Vets at 8 Am this morning so I was having severe puppy with drawel. Bear and I do every thing together. He stays in bed with me all day.

He wouldn't eat or drink at the time the vet said he could start trying food and water.

I kept taking him out for walks as instructed not allowing him on the porch where he normally goes potty, and he refused to go. I tried the porch and kept him leashed but still wouldn't go. When he finally went it was dark and all I heard was a horrble extremely wet raspberry sound. Got him picked up to bring in and I could smell a very very foul smell and knew it wouldn't be good since he can't have a bath for 7-10 days. I used a wash rag to clean up his bottom and tail, and the hair all down his legs, but nothing was going to get the smell out. OMG it's horrid. I tried a smell goods spray but didn't help. I will call my groomer in the morning and see if she can help me find a solution.

He is through the worst and each day will get better. He and Sassy have to be kept apart until after the stitches are removed and the vet or vet tech says ok.

Smells pretty much gone. I used a wet wash rag and just kept washing it the smelly area.

He is still not eating as good as he should be. Has me concerned but he is eating as long as I hand it to him, including canned food.

Glad that Bear is back home with you. When our dachshund Rylee had her surgery it took about 2 weeks for her to get back to her old self. So just hang in there they do bounce back. It is so hard to watch them though, especially since they can not tell you what hurts, but I know they appreciate the love we give them! Julie

Stitches out and he is a ball of energy.

Tonight however with the fire works going off Sassy hasn't been herself at all. I am hoping it's just the fire works. She has never been sick, and I hope to keep it that way.
