lately, over the past 6 months or so, we've noticed Oreo is twitching his face. just a quick little shake, kind of like something landed on his face and he's trying to get it off. its not repetitive. just one shake. its definitely a twitch though..
just wondering if anyone else's quaker does this or if anyone knows what could be causing this twitch.

Hmm, Willie did that for awhile a few months ago but come to think of it, I haven't seen him do it lately.
Now, he'll do it at the very mention of playing "tickle tickle" (under his wings) but he'll raise his wings up for me to tickle him.

That is the same thing I am wondering about.
I have a new baby that is still being weaned that I go see almost daily. When he/she begs and does her little squeak screech, he
head twitches (just like trying to get a fly to get off of it). But I have noticed every time it screeches its head does that?
Is this the same thing as shaking or quaking when people are talking about that?
The breeder said that was normal but since I am knew to quakers I wasn't sure?
So this question you had is something that I have been concerned about.
Everyone seems to say that the begging and head shaking is normal but I would like to know from
anyone if this is the same thing as the twitching?
Thanks. Carmen (Mia Quaker)

My Oatis also does this head twitch when making a funny sound! he does this more when i go to feed him (hes still weaning) and he also seems to do it when i talk to him.
If i recall correctly oatis' breeder said he will do this less as he gets older

Thanks. That really makes me feel much better
to see that this is a common activity for quakers
and does not single out my new baby in any way.
Thanks for posting that.
