Ok...
Today we put Oatis back into his cage so our daughter could play out in the garden with the door open! I have a towl along the bottom of the cage etc..
he started running around the cage screeching and pulling at the towl then onto the water bowl holder (bowl isnt in at moment as its on playstand) and started hanging upside down! then he went onto other bowl and started jumping off it! the whole time making screachy noises!
Is he angry at being in cage or is this him playing games!
he was fluffing up at the time of running around etc and seemed quite excited..am i mistaking anger for excitement?

Is the towel or anything else new to his cage? I know anytime that I introduce something new, I place it outside the cage for a couple of days so that Charlie can get used to it. Otherwise, he behaves as you've described. On the same hand, birds love to hang from the sides and tops of their cages and mine will spend a good bit of time climbing all around having fun. What you described sounds more like anxiety to me though. If the towel is new, try removing it.

He seems ok today.
He hasnt done that again anyway!
today hes been a little quiet but we tried the harness again and he just wasnt at all happy with it even tried showing him the garden,which distracted him last time but this failed to distract him.we just got a lot of bites!!
should i still remove the towl if this is making him anxious or leave it now that he isnt behaving like he waS?
