So, I have had Kermit for two and a half weeks now. I will be eleven weeks old tomorrow. I got him from the breeder when he was still on two feedings a day. (I had been in every day since he was hatched to feed him myself.) Okay, so he has not been very interested in the formula. I have seen him eat a ton and drink his water. He is actually eating more often than I thought he would.

So, my question... I have not really seen him eat any of the pellets, he is always cracking seed. The mixture I have for him is about 1/4 seed and 3/4 pellet mix. He spends most of his time digging to the bottom for seeds. I have read that if your birds feces is green, then there is too much seed in their diet. Kermit's dropping are fairly greener than they should be.

Ok, soooo should I not let him have any seed until he learns to eat the pellets, or will he eventually come around? I really want him to be on a well balanced diet, not just seeds.

Ok, any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Bump, hopefully some experts will be along shortly...

There are numerous "how to convert you quaker to a pellet diet" threads if you have a look back through the posts in the diet and health section or you could try doing a search, it seems to be a topics that comes up fairly frequently

Beautiful pics by the way
