I'll try the TP cardboard and see if he'll chew on that. I gave him some paper towel a while back to chew up and he did a little, but lost interest. He loses interest in an elastic hair tie the moment he's got it chewed off. The joy is in the journey and not the destination, I suppose.

What he needs is a chew toy like I give my Lab. Do they make little balls for parrots? Or something equivalent to a rubber bone? I haven't seen anything like that in the bird aisle at Petsmart, and based on what Clyde seems to enjoy most, that's what he needs, not the dangly bead-and-bell sorts of toys they make for parrots. He ignores those completely. He lives with two dogs and my husband jokingly refers to him as our "funny-looking dog," so maybe he needs dog toys!
