Dear Forum Members:
The 2009 QuakerParrots.com calendar is coming along nicely. We have chosen a printer, and the calendar is being redesigned to meet the specific needs of that printer in an effort to keep costs to a minimum. In doing so, once again, we would like to invite forum members to submit large, high-quality photos of their Quaker Parrots.
We need large, high-resolution images, but the most important thing of all is that your QP is clear, sharp and in focus. Ideally, we would like images to be at least 2048 pixels wide so that they will reproduce well in the printed calendar and give the most design flexibility. (For those who are not sure about such technicalities, as a rule of thumb, a JPEG file from your camera that is 3MB or above should be good enough. However, if you're unsure of your photo's exact size, please send it anyway. Please do not alter the picture in any image manipulation software.
The committee is reviewing all of the photos that have been submitted, and only the best quality photos will be used. Unfortunately, the committee cannot guarantee, and has never guaranteed, that every photograph submitted will be used. Please remember not to submit photos of birds in unsafe situations.
Attached are two samples from the calendar, January and August, to give you an idea of what it will look like. More information about orders and payments will be provided soon. This closed thread has been posted for your information only. If you have any questions, please contact Connie (Andie's Mom), Carrie-Anne (Carrie~Anne) or Dave (DMMoulton) via PM.
Photographs should be submitted to cq_qp_pix@mac.com as soon as possible, but before the end of July. Please be sure to include your bird's name and yours so that we can contact you if necessary.
Thanks very much for your interest and patience!
