Full Version: Amazon Needs New Home
Penelope is a double yellow head amazon this year she will be 36 years old. She would love to have a new home that she can retire in and just be. She is not one to be picked up alot but will step up. Junk mail is her favorite second only to a peanut treat. Tv is her favorite pastime and ranks right up there with watching the world go by her window. A spray bottle bath always makes her day but this senior citizen cat naps her days away. A ear piercing telephone ring will make you jump for the phone. She likes opera and sings an occasional aria with the TV. This sweet girl wants to spend the rest of her life in a retirement community where she can just be a bird with an occasional pet (when shes in the mood). If you think this is the bird for you please let me know she has her own cage with toys and bowls.

I would love to have that bird. It would def, take the place of Wook the one my EX father in law sold out from under me. I miss having a bird already however I am not yet all better and want to wait until I get all my weight off and see if it helps with the neuropathy. Yes I will have a bird again when I know it can be forever and when it's the perfect fit.

Good luck with finding a home for the bird. If you can't find a home for her. Try www.peartree-sanctuary.org. She is in Springfield, Mo and she is a Parrot Education, Adoption, and Rehabilitation. 417-496-2357 I know she will came and get the bird if you have no other home for her!

This way I have the room to take one on that is truly in need of rehome. Such as Penelope. As I said , I live in Missouri. Near Springfield. Problem is, I dont drive too far from home unless someone is with me. You can see by my siggy what birds I have. I love my babies dearly. Thanks for your vote of confidence. Ive pmed her twice and commented here on her post a couple of times. I havent heard anything. But, that is ok if she has found someone else.

Katie would be a wonderful person to adopted this bird~!!!! She adores her birds and you should see her set up for her birds. And I know she sits in the room with them most of the day!!!

Birdman, I hope you and Flossie both see this. Since it had taken her so long to reply I had decided that she either had already given her away or had decided to keep her. At any rate Ive decided not to take Penelope in. Sorry. I hope you can find her a good forever home.

Hey John, Your so thoughtful! Sorry I missed your call yesterday. We were in Little Rock all day yesterday. We got home around 10pm. We were both so tired and then we went to Fayetteville Va today so Ray could get his eye's check and new glasses.

oh gosh i would love to adopt them both....i found some lady that was going to sell me a quaker parrot....i went where ever she told me...its was a bad area of queens and it was not a lady it was a male...and he wanted me to get inside his car bla bla....i had to report that to the police....buuuuuuuu ur too far away from me....good luck
