As for toys.. Quakers are notorious for liking to SHRED! I buy these lil chinese bamboo finger traps at the dollar store for like 6 for a buck and mine loves them.. i always make sure to keep lots in his cage.. popsicle sticks, bamboo skewers (like for the bbq) but break the sharp points off.. you can also take a tissue paper/kleenex and put a treat in it and wrap it like a candy and wind it through the bars of his cage.. our quaker loves to forage for these treats and several placed around his cage keep him entertained for some time...
Our kiwi has a toy filled with veggie tanned leather and wood peices he loves to chew on..
We also strung some cocnut shell peices on some jute string and he loves climbing all over that.. your only limit is your imgination! We try to get a good mix of buying toys as well as making toys because we swap toys 1-2 a week to keep him busy and actively getting acustomed to new toys all the time...
Be aware of those lil plastic cat toys.. we call those"supervised" play toys because quaker beaks can break the plastic if they really wanted and we dont want them swallowing the lil bell inside.. i use one as a foot toy when teaching our lil quaker to get used to being on his back in our hands/.. keep that beak and toes busy just great!
There are tons of do it yourself sites online as well...i like this one..

Just be sure with all the toys and perches to leave enoguh room for some active wing flapping for your lil one

And Welcome!
