I'm picking up my weaned quaker in about two weeks, and I still need a cage. (I know, getting to cruunch time). I really need some advice. These are some options that I'm considering could you tell me which one you'd choose? Or If you have a good suggestion??
1)

http://www.bird.com/itemdy00.asp?T1=502906+WHTI think that number 3 is my favorite.
Any advice is appreciated!!

All of the cages you listed are nice, however I would personally lean towards #2. I like that it is powder coated, has seed catchers, has an easy to clean play top and easy to access ladders.
Second best I like #1.
Least of all would be #3 for me because the tops that open that way have been known to be involved in accidents. I know many people who successfully use them, however, I would not personally if it could be avoided.

I got my last cage at Centurion cage. When I got it the latch was broke and Ray called and they sent us two latches. They also said if we could not get it fix they would send someone right out. I was very impress with their kindness and quality of their cages!
They go to all the bird fairs!!! I got the color sand and it's gorgeous and very sturdy and very easy to clean!
But the second cage is a very nice cage~!!!! That you picked out~!!! Goodluck with your choice~!

I agree.
I like #2 and the money for it sounds great for the size.
Good Luck with your new baby!
Send us some pics.

i have #2 in an eggshell/offwhite color. i'm a newer quaker owner and its seems to work out great. easy to clean no poop/food on the floor since the catchers are there. wipes clean with a scrubby sponge. she loves the play top and its just over all easy. mine is only 22x22 and stands about 5'4" tall floor to top of playtop.
got mine off ebay too but from a different store...EXCEL

#3 is my choice and I am debating on ordering it for us as we are getting a QP in about 3 weeks ourselves BUT I wont be using the top as a play area!

Thanks for all the help everyone! I decided to go ahead with number 3 (because I like the archtop) and I'll purchase an extra play area for use elsewhere in the house. I called the company and they said that it was powder coated, and it seems to have good reviews.
Thanks for the word of safety warning about the play top!

Lindsey please let me know how the cage is when you get it in person! I have a smaller (22*18*32) cage I am going to use when I first bring Tiki home from the breeder! You can email me at
Mommy4Syd@aol.com if you want to or just post it here! Thanks again

I personally think maybe just a little bigger 18x18 is the bare minimun size that you really should have because with all the toys inside it might just be snugg in there for your little one unless you're at home all day and the baby will be able to be out then thats fine this is the one we have ours is white and we got it from our breeder so we paid way less than that!!
Hopes this helps

I agree 18 x18 is not big enough.
I made the same mistake of getting an 18x18 and ended up taking it back
and buying a 24 x 22 x 30. Much better.
I would be concerned with the 18x18 and highly recommend going bigger
because I just made that mistake recently.

Both one and two are only 18x18 and I think you would be sorry if you got them ..The size of Number 3 is so much better and if you don`t use the top open it would be great ...just get a portable play stand that tou can move from room to room with you for your fid to use...

Thanks so much; I ordered #3 yesterday and it should be here in 5-7 days. Whohoo! My baby will be ready to come home in about 10. It's all coming so quickly!
