Does anyone here have a Avian Background to protect your walls from any possible bird mess? and are they really needed for owning a Quaker? I see they are easy top clean and attach to the wall with velcro but are they really needed with owning a Quaker? Advice would be great! Debi

I'm lucky in that respect. Willie does his business off the front of the cage so I catch it on a plastic mat in the floor.

The Baby Bird Farm site carries them at a good price in two different styles.

Oh, sign me up too! laugh.gif Charlie loves to see just how far her can get it out of his cage. My poor wall looks disgustingly painted even after I wash it off.

If you're not sure if you need them or not you could hang something like butcher paper temporarily to protect the wall and see if your bird poops on the wall. Then you'd know for sure.

I went ahead and ordered one from the site because it's only under 25 dollars at all the other web sites the go for like 34 to 36 dollars so this site is a great deal on these. I figure I'll just get it to be safe then sorry and if anything it will give my coming baby bird a view.

I have washable latex walls that are quite easy to clean with a sponge so if there is ever a mess be it from bird or child and sometimes adults they are easy to clean.
I have seen friends use this product poster size post it notes around their cages and when they get dirty they just rip it down and put up a new sheet...shrugs...
